DAB and DH Certificate Open House

The Digital Innovation Lab invites the UNC community to join us for an open house on October 10, 2019 3:30-5:00 honoring recipients of our Digital Advancement Badges and Digital Humanities certificate over the past academic year. Refreshments will be served, and there will be an information session for those interested in pursuing a badge or certificate through our program.

Over the past year, the DIL, in collaboration with the School of Information and Library Sciences and the English Department, has worked to develop a micro-credentialing program designed to recognize graduate student labor and undergraduate research in service to a greater understanding of digital methods and the discourse surrounding their application in a variety of contexts.

Our Digital Humanities certificate program likewise offers a formal path for graduate students to pursue digital projects in conjunction with their intended course of study.

We are excited to celebrate these accomplishments and to open the door for others to benefit from these programs. If you are interested in learning more about digital research and pedagogy, in getting formal credit for work you are already doing, or simply have a passion for free food, we are happy to engage you on these interests!
